Placement Size
IntermediatePlacement Size lets you affect multiple cells in one tap instead of one at a time. Set a size, and every click or tap in Draw mode places, paints, or erases a rectangular block of cells that large. For big flat sections like floors, walls, and fill work, it's dramatically faster than building cell by cell.
Setting Width, Height & Length
Three dimensions control the placement footprint:

Each can be set using its slider, the +/− buttons, or by typing a number directly into the field. All three can be set independently of each other, and the settings persist until you change them.
Placing Flat Sections Fast
The most common use case: set Height to 1, then crank Width and/or Length to the size of the floor or wall you're laying. One tap fills the entire area instead of individual blocks. For example:
- A 20×1×20 floor: set Width=20, Height=1, Length=20, tap once on the bottom-left corner.
- A 1×8×15 wall: set Width=1, Height=8, Length=15, tap the base of where the wall should start.
Because Placement Size works with Paint and Erase too, you can use it to repaint or clear large areas in one tap as well as place them.
Lock Aspect Ratio
The padlock button chains all three dimensions together so they stay equal. When locked, adjusting any one dimension adjusts all three to match, keeping a perfect cube. This is automatically engaged whenever you select a 3D template shape (Sphere, Cylinder, Pyramid, etc.) to ensure the template stamps as a true cube rather than a stretched version.
You can unlock the padlock manually at any time — even when a 3D template is active — to stretch the template unevenly. And you can lock it manually even when no template is selected, if you want to maintain equal proportions while resizing.
Placement Point of Origin
When you tap a cell in Draw mode, Placement Size needs to know which cell you tapped is the "origin" of the rectangle. Two options control this:

| Axis Point (default) | The tapped cell is the corner. The rectangle extends in the +X/+Y/+Z direction from there. Tapping the bottom-left of where you want a floor and the floor extends right and forward. |
| Centered | The tapped cell is the centre. The rectangle extends outward symmetrically in both directions along X and Z. Height (Y) always still extends only upward — never downward — regardless of this setting. |
Using Placement Size with Templates
Placement Size and Templates work together: the active template stamps its pattern across whatever Placement Size is set. Selecting a template auto-sets Placement Size to 10×10×10 to give you an immediately usable size, and selecting a 3D template auto-locks the aspect ratio. See the Templates guide for full details.
Placement Size with Erase
Erase respects Placement Size the same way Build and Paint do. If you set Width=10, Height=1, Length=10 and Erase tool is active, a single tap in Draw mode removes a 10×1×10 block of cells. This is useful for clearing large sections of a build quickly — for example, wiping an entire floor to redo it — without having to erase cell by cell.
Placement Size with Mirror Symmetry
When Mirror X or Mirror Z is active alongside Placement Size, each placement creates the rectangle and its mirrored copy. For example, with Width=5, Length=5, Height=1, and Mirror X enabled, a single tap places two 5×1×5 rectangles symmetrically about the X axis. Combined with four-way mirroring (both axes enabled), one tap can fill four symmetric sections at once. This is one of the most powerful workflows in Buildopia for laying down large symmetric floors or wall sections rapidly.
Common Size Presets
A few Placement Size configurations that come up frequently:

There's no way to save preset configurations currently, so you'll need to re-enter these manually each time. A quick approach is to use the number input fields directly — clicking the field and typing is faster than using the +/− buttons for larger values.
